No parts or service for discontinued models - be aware

We bought a Russell Hobbs Heritage Kitchen Machine (RHSB150) in 2017. Recently the plastic part on the balloon whisk broke where it slots into the machine. I contacted Russell Hobbs via their "contact us" page on their website and got no response. Then I phoned them and spoke to their parts department as well as their client service department. Apparently this model of Kitchen Machine has been discontinued and they do not supply parts for it anymore. The parts of later models also does not fit on the older models. They basically shrugged their shoulders and insinuated that you need to buy a kitchen machine every 5 years to stay current even though the one you have are still in a perfectly good condition. I will have no choice as to buy a new Kitchen Machine, but you can be sure it will not be a Russell Hobbs again.
