False warranty info on products

My daughter bought a Russel Hobbs 4 slice toaster from Takealot (Supp**** by HOME OF LIVING BRANDS) on 20 April 2020 for my birthday. This toaster is broken. We have send the toaster back on 23 September 2021 to be replaced under the 24 month warranty. You, the supplier, HOME OF LIVING BRANDS, have had the toaster for 4 weeks now and are implying that it only has a 12 month warranty?? Do you really think I am that stupid as to return a product after 18 months under a 12 month warranty? She (my daughter) bought the toaster on what she read under the description of the product which said 24 month warranty. If you as a first time buyer, elderly person or stupid person see, that on the product info, it stipulates that there is a 24 month warranty, it is accepted as what it says, 24 month warranty. Basically what you are implying is: If you see 24 month warranty on a product, it actually means 12 month warranty AND If you see 12 month warranty on a product, it actually means 0 month warranty ??? Do not beat around the bush by falsely advertising the products and this also means lying to the customer regarding warranties. I would suggest that, in future, please put a BIG RED DOT on your product info so that old, young and even stupid people, like me, can see the imp**** warranty clearly.
