International brand and its bad service

I visted the Ted baker store in sandton on the 11th of January .I am completely disappointed with the level of service. I looked around the store and picked up a shoe the assistant refused to help me and told straight out that there were no sizes as I looked around the store I found my size in a different style and had to beg the assistant to bring the left shoe so that I could fit on both.I have never experienced such bad service from any of the stores I am highly disguised at Ted baker for being an international brand with such bad service
