Tecleo Data Recovery Lab tried Their Best.
I submitted my faulty hard drive to Tecleo on 08 April 2022. They repaired the read/write head on the drive multiple times but, after many attempts and persistence, in February 2023 they had to close the project as the internal drive structure was far more damaged than initially thought.
Seeing as how easy it is to fall into the 1% that a professional data recovery lab cannot recover data for, I invested heavily in the "prevention is better than the cure" strategy by employing 1 cloud backup (dropbox) and 3 external SSD backups of my production data. Now, I do triple backups every day to avoid what happened last year as professional data recovery is not guaranteed to get you out of a tight spot.
My sincere thanks to Tyrone at TDRL for his persistence and trying everything including referring the matter to Ace Labs, TDRL's software recovery app vendor, for assistance.
By all means, give them a try but first invest heavily in a personal backup strategy of multiple backups to avoid the process of professional data recovery.
