Secondhand goods sold as new

I ordered two riflescopes and a set of reloading dies from them. Many weeks after I had made payment and sent them the proof thereof, they requested proof of payment. I asked them why, but was ignored. The items did arrive, but the one riflescope was in a box that had previously been opened and was not replaced properly, with bent protective foam and missing silica gel. The threads on one of the reloading dies were damaged. I wasn't aware that I was buying secondhand goods!
