I bought a Rugged Unihertz Tank tablet 8849, the parcel arrived in SA I paid import taxes for the release and delivery of the parcel. The parcel arrived I was all excited opened the package everything looked premium and neatly packaged, until I powered the tablet only to realise the screen has a striking through line from right to left I thought it was part of the screen saver only to realise there's a chip on the edge of the screen. I called the DHL the courier and asked what to do because the screen is damaged? They asked if the box that had the package in was damaged, it had no signs of damage they refered me to Techinn. At techinn I spoke to a James who asked me take pictures and a video to see if it was true for them to book a return which was booked. They took it back to manufacturer for checking and they gave no report back instead they refunded me after a heated argument but they kept the import taxes I paid and only paid for the Tablet I bought. Right now they say DHL is liable and DHL is in the same understanding like myself that the import taxes are their liability because they should claim from their supplier who supplied damaged goods.
