Shipping Trouble

This company pops up when clicking on 'shopping' for electronic goods on Google. It ships to South Africa and defaults prices to South African Rand. Very decent prices and it is not immediately obvious that they don't ship from South Africa.

I purchased a product in February which was shipped on the 18th of February. They promised me a delivery estimate of 24 Feb to 01 March. Today is the 8th of April.

Upon enquiring they blame the Covid situation, decreased cargo capacity, customs etc. They now say it can take 60 days before a parcel is released from customs.

My point of view is that I paid the shipping. It is their shipping company that needs to ensure my parcel gets through customs and gets into my hands in the promised time.

It is questionable that they don't see this as a very bad customer experience, that it reflects very badly on them, and postponing a cancellation and refund will only make it worse.
