I am writing this review following an extremely concerning experience with this company (Techelec Solutions Pty Ltd) My solar system was installed in June 2026, and within only a few months of installation, I experienced a frightening incident where the solar combiner box caught fire and burned. This was not a minor inconvenience or simply a system fault. This was an electrical fire on my property that could potentially have spread and caused devastating damage to my home. It is extremely disturbing to think about what could have happened had the fire not been discovered when it was. Prior to this incident, I had already raised concerns regarding the installation and had been trying to get outstanding issues addressed, including obtaining the Certificate of Compliance (CoC) for the solar installation. What makes this experience even more disappointing is the manner in which my concerns were handled. After I continued raising issues and asking for them to be addressed, the owner (Yigal) blocked me on WhatsApp, despite this being the communication channel we had been using. When a customer raises concerns about a recently completed electrical installation, I would expect those concerns to be treated seriously, professionally and urgently — particularly when safety is involved. Instead, I was left feeling that my concerns were being dismissed. Now, only a short time after installation, I have been faced with the terrifying reality of part of that solar installation actually catching fire. I have retained the invoice, photographs of the fire damage and my correspondence regarding the issues I raised. For me, this is no longer simply about poor customer service. It is about safety, accountability and the standard of workmanship customers should reasonably expect when paying for a solar installation. No homeowner should have to worry that a recently installed solar system could become a fire risk, nor should they have their communication cut off when trying to raise legitimate concerns. Based entirely on my own experience, I cannot recommend this company.
