I app**** for a loan online, received a whatsapp from these people stating that my loan was approved. They send me forms to read through however they do not send the contract before hand "should have listened to my gut", with that came the Loan Protection Assurance form that clearly states "As soon as we receive the Loan Protection Assurance fees as mentioned above, your loan amount will be transferred and reflect in your account within 24hrs. After paying the amount and sending a proof of payment I later received the actual contract, reading through the contract: it now changes. The loan application has been successfully transferred into your account , unfortunately you are required to urgently pay VAT This amount is refundable as soon as your fund is cleared into your account. TBT Solutions (Pty) Ltd Finance could not deduct this fees because all our borrowers loan are under an insurance policy which is calculated based on the interest rate of the borrowers amount, so therefore VAT shall not be deducted from your loan. If this payment is not due within 24hours, the transfer will be reverse back immediately. We’re sorry for the inconvenience because we receive a signal from Chief Application Controller that they did not receive VAT deposit from you. I said I do not wish to proceed as I do not have the funds, Now I received a whatsapp threatening me with their lawyers.
