My recent experience with Adrian Michael Smith from Taylormade Supplies has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share this review as a cautionary tale for others. In a shocking turn of events, the business not only provided inferior service but also outright stole a large portion of my deposit, leaving me both infuriated and disillusioned with an incomplete paving and tiling project. I met Adrian through Bark.com. Unfortunately, I could not review him on the website as my request had been closed already. Nevertheless, I will take the required steps to communicate with them. On their website, he has great reviews, probably computer generated in some way.

Initially, I was optimistic about my interaction with Adrian Smith. I turned his initial quote down but being the smooth talker and con artist that he is, he presented me with another quote which I accepted. Little did I know that he is the worst ****mer that I’ve come across for a very long time. As the promised services unfolded, it became evident that they were not living up to their commitments. There were excuses of delays of deliveries saying that the supplies were out of stock, trucks broken down, workers not turning up because he can’t get hold of them, suffering from hangovers, workers turning up on days where nothing could be done as there were no pavers to work with, car breaking down, can’t work on certain days as he can't get hold of his workers. The quality of the service was disappointing, and it quickly became apparent that my expectations were far from being met as time elapsed.

To add insult to injury, the unimaginable happened— he has ********ly withheld and effectively ****** my deposit when we requested him to pay back a pro-rata portion. We had asked him to work out what it would be and we made an estimate of what we would want returned based on a ¼ of what he had done. The initial deposit was R55,761.55 which I paid him on 15 August 2023.This blatant disregard for ethical business practices is not only reprehensible but also a breach of trust that I never anticipated.

Attempts to communicate with the business and resolve the issue were met with excuses, lies and more empty promises. It became apparent that Adrian Michael Smith had also **** about the pavers being used as I had requested Wheatstone B-Grade, but he had provided me with B Grade pavers with 80% Autumn and the rest a mixture of Wheatstone and iron spot. Another negative was he promised me 70mm pavers to 50mm. He even convinced us that he had ordered the bricks and the quote he sent us was another job’s quote. It's disheartening to realize that a company would not only fail to deliver on its promises but also engage in dishonest practices, leaving customers like myself in a state of frustration and disbelief.

I urge anyone considering engaging with Adrian Michael Smith from Taylormade Supplies to exercise extreme caution. My negative experience serves as a stark reminder that not all businesses operate with integrity, and it's crucial to thoroughly research and vet companies before entrusting them with your hard-earned money.

My conclusion is that Adrian Michael Smith either used the rest of my deposit for his own personal means or he used it to complete other smaller jobs that he delayed completed. He's the kind of ****mer that robs Paul to pay Peter, he has an excuse after every excuse.

He’s 9 years in business as a jack of all trades looking at another way to find a victim that he will con.
