Matric Dance dress disaster by Tailor Me - bespoke suits 52 hout street Caoe Town
They failed my daughter's bid day dress her matric dance dress I approached this guy about 3 weeks b4 the event desperate after being disappointed by a dressmaker who promised to make the dress 3 weeks b4 the MD date which was yesterday 4th October at southern sun cape sun hotel I asked this guy if he would be able to sew the dress he said he would discuss with his production team and come back to me when he came back after a few days he said "yes they can make it" R12000 we went for measurements and told him he should produce the exact dress and kept stressing it his demeanor was so laid back saying yes to everything and promised to keep in touch with me throughout the production process he never did I was the one to knock and ask why is he nil per is what is happening he kept promising it was being done and promised to send photos on Wednesday 1st October obviously nothing happened and then he started telling me stories of how busy they usually are during this time of the year bla bla bla bla at this time I had paid R7000 for the dress to pay the balance on delivery of the product that we asked for. The botched 3 sized too small church adult choir uniform like dress was delivered to my house at 1am 4th October the day of the MD a completely different dress my daughter is 18 chose a particular dress particular design that she wanted the nightmare the guy brought could not fit we forced it down my daughter looked like the oros man have never seen such poor workmanship in my life. Later on when I properly googled I realized these guys make men's suits but he never told me no wonder they could not make the dress their advert on google u see a flowing light lacy blue dress worn by a lovely lady I looked at it and phoned them without going deep into the search about the company but all this guy could have said was 'no we don't make dresses find another place' because therecwas still a bit of time to even hire a coutour like dress my daughter wanted but he kept mum. I was beyond angry had to still go to work in the morning even drove wrong side facing oncoming traffic could not concentrate at work the guy took the dress to amend so that it could at least fit her my daughter friend her sister and her dad were now involved I had to take my daughter for her eyelashes at sorbet was 1 hr late for work had to cancel her 1pm Nail appointment at the nail bar 10minutes b4 the appointment inconveniencing another business ma daughter wanted specific nail art done could not be done had to quickly book a nail appointment at sorbet she got it fir 3pm but was still at Tailor Me in cape Town the guy fiddling with the amendments to the dress he did not know what to do he was lost in darkness like a chicken that had lost its head my eldest daughter ended up being the one giving suggestions to the owner in how and what to alter on the dress what to remove what add if it were not fir her my daughter would not have gone to the MD it ended up bring a dress that could sort if fit but still uncomfortable it was saved by by her stunning makeup thanks to dischem which also I had to keep shifting both the nail and makeup appointment on the afternoon of the event we were very late for the event the last ones extremely late and the traffic in town was a disaster all cars from cape town dropping matrics at the venue. My daughter's hair by Claudia shoes by Europa Canal walk Makeup by Dischem pulled off and saved the disaster and my daughter being tall pulled off what ended up being her nasty surprise of a matric dress 😠😡 👿. My daughter is still sleeping from sheer exhaustion. She was toruted she came back from dress amending at 16h25 for her nail appointment at sorbet I had to sit at sorbet to make sure they wait for her and no nail art could be done at that hour 17h30 we were at dischem for makeup she looked stunning in that make up. We came back from make up to help her refresh put on the dress carefully not to spoil her make up. The dress colour was similar to the dress she chose but as for the dress it was from a parallel universe shame yhooooo I learnt a painful lesson on my daughter's big day. I want some money back from that R7000 and I mean the guy still wanted the balance and nit giving him I cam show the 2 dresses. They should have told me they dont make dresses.
