Wrongfully blacklisted

Hi there, since Taxify is taking a bit long to reply, let me post my experience here.

I am an 18 year old high school student. On the day Emmanuel gave us a ride I was collecting my 11 year old brother at school.

Firstly I didn't have cash at the time, which I informed Emmanuel of, since the Taxify app did not want to input my Debit card details. So I asked him to wait at our drop off point (Local Spar) so I could withdraw money and pay him.

We arrive at the destination, both my brother and exit the car, taking his school bags with. (At this point we could've easily ran away but chose not to because it's wrong) we get to the atm's and they're offline, we head back to the car to inform Emmanuel, now seeming a bit irritated (understandable) he accepts a trip while we still have to pay him. So I inform him that checkers is across the street and we can pay him.

We get to Checkers, I instruct my brother to come with me, however Emmanuel instructs that he stays behind(note I have never met this man, so there was not a single chance I would leave my brother with him) so my brother tagged along with me, this time leaving his bags in the car as rudely instructed by Emmanuel.

We get to Checkers, only to that the whole shopping complex is offline, even the ATM's, now my brother is in fear, because of the way Emmanuel had snapped at us earlier. I get to the car and I tell him that there is no electricity in the complex, he becomes upset then he accuses me of lying, I point out to the dark Checkers market, then he keeps quiet.

We called my father who was in a meeting so he couldn't answer at the time. I suggest to Emmanuel that. That he can take our numbers or drop us off at home so that we can reimburse him when comes back later, he refuses rudely, and in an upset manner.

He says he is going to blacklist us, even though I had came up with a suggestion to reimburse him. After he completed the trip, he watched me input his review, I was scared so I inputted the 5 stars you see on my review of the trip. There after he commanded my brother and I to get out. Ranting that we wasted his time. We did as instructed, we got out then we walked home. My brother assumed we were going to die on that day (31st of July).

During the trip to Moreleta Spar, Emmanuel had received a call from a friend, he and his friend spoke over the car speaker, and were discussing inappropriate things such as gambling, and alcohol in front of my 11 year old brother. He then mentioned that I go to Curro (giving out my private information to a stranger) and they teased it for about a 1/4 of the trip.

I honestly believe that I do not deserve the blacklist because they amount of cash I had was R24 out of the R30 which he refused to come collect the rest later. This man gave out my private information to his friend. He made my brother and I feel like we were in a hostage situation. We truly felt unsafe. If this is the face of Taxify, then please keep me blacklisted, will not recommend this app because I fear for the safety of my family and loved ones.

My family is considering legal action against Emmanuel however we want to see what Taxify will do first. Thank you for your time.
