Hi,

I am writing this conmplaint on behalf of my partner Sareeth Maharaj (uses cell phone number ********** 003 for Taxifi services).

We both users of Taxifi and promote the brand to many friends and family, boasting that it is better and cheaper than Uber.

However, our view has changed about Taxifi, after our experience on Saturday night (the 15th).

Firstly, we requested a ride from The Cambridge to Fourways using our discount voucher (F54L9- R150 off our trip). The Taxif driver arrived (his vehicle registration FP82LY GP) and accidently cancelled our trip. He then told us to request the ride again as he accidently cancelled the trip. When we tried to request a ride again the App didn’t allow us to use the voucher code again as it was now invalid, since it was already used for the trip that was cancelled by the driver.

We then had to requested a ride and TaxifiI driver Mishack fetched us and we had to pay the full price for the ride about R75. This is unfair as it was the driver who accidently cancelled the trip and used our voucher on the cancelled trip. I therefore request that you credit Sareeth for the cancelled trip and his last trip of R75, by applying the voucher to the trips.

Secondly, and more seriously, the behaviour of the Taxifi driver was unacceptable (his vehicle registration FP82LY GP), he was rude, even though it was his fault he cancelled the trip he refused to take us to our destination or assist us in anyway. He kicked us out of his car. He was rude and abrupt and made a scene outside our complex. When I told him that I am going to report his behaviour to Taxifi he laughed and said “ Taxifi cannot do anything, this is my car”. This shows that Taxifi has no control over the drivers they employ and that the drivers can do and say as they please with no consequence., one might as well use private taxis/UBER if Taxifi can’t control their employees behaviours and responsibilities.

I myself use taxifi almost every day this year and I see that even though they cheaper than Uber the service from Uber is better.

We have two requests. First, apply the voucher to the last trip and credit Sareeth’s credit card for same and also credit Sareeth for the cancelled trip if he was charged (as we did not cancel the ride).

Second, meet with the driver and give him a verbal warning iro his behaviour, he did not assist in the situation, he canceled the trip by accident and then kicked us out of the car, he was loud and rude in our complex causing disturbance late at night. He must give us an apology, as we were very embarrassed that he made a scene outside our complex and did not assist us in the situation but instead aggravated the situation.

We are really upset, to the point where we don’t want to use Taxifi again, and are scared of their drivers. We are considering making this public and taking it to radio etc.

Please contact me on ********** 123 to discuss further.
