Taxify let down

I ordered a ride last night at around midnight and a driver named Lungelo accepted it. He then called to ask if it was a cash or card trip and I rep**** card, whereafter he cancelled and didn't correspond with me why. I called him and he told me he was "not looking for cash trips". My airtime cut off while talking to him as I had to call him to find out why and he drove up to where I was, got out of his car and told me that he was only willing to take me if I paid him in cash and when I rep**** that I had no physical money, he told me to request another driver. I did this seven times, and he kept accepting to prevent me from connecting with other drivers, and telling me to cancel or cancelling on me himself, and that I need to pay him or use ewallet. He then told me that he was the only driver available in the area at that time and my only option was to give him cash. This was at midnight when I was alone with luggage and there was no one around except him. He then drove off and left me standing at Arrivals, at which point I ordered an Uber and the driver came IMMEDIATELY without hassle. This occurred in the span of 45 minutes and made me feel VERY unsafe.
