False advertising

I decide to take a taxi instead of public transport after recieving an sms saying that its 50% off Tuesday. I requested my taxi and the trip was good until i exited the vehicle and was charged full price. i didnt dtress too much as i had a similar incidence with uber. all i had to do was log a complaint and the amount would be credited for me to use later. I logged my complaint and was clearly told that i would not be credited. What upsets me more is that later in the day when i requested another taxi I noted that the app was changed and the normal taxi request button was replaced with a 50% off button. This is totally unacceptable.
