Drivers refuse to take me to destination

I requested a ride between 09h00 and 09h10 this morning. The first driver who picked me up was Thembani and I just confirmed his name from the Taxify receipt. He drove a caramel like coloured Toyota Avanza. He left me at 166 Hartley Rd. Then he arranged for the other driver nearby to come and take me after cancelling the ride with me. Thereafter Max came in his Toyota Etios I think it was white. After he also found out that I wanted to go to Summerveld in Hillcrest he told me to get another taxi. At this point it was around 09h30 and I had to inform the people I had scheduled a meeting with that I had to cancel it.

I don't know when this driver revolt started with these Taxify drivers but if it persists I may have to look for another service because I was starting to find Taxify to be reliable but if drivers are no longer travelling beyond certain distances and are now demanding to be paid in cash for those trips. It's starting to turn into the Wild Wild West for us passengers. At this point who can you trust? I was lucky to be left in a fami**** neighbourhood that I know but if this had happened to me at night in an unfami**** area the ending might have been a tragic one.
