Bolt 25% discount is a ****

bolt is quite useless. Despite enticing me with 25% discounts to use on Bolt rides, there is a serious issue, when drivers do not pick up the ride. I attempted to get a ride with bolt as at 13h33 on Monday 18 November 2024. I wasted at least 15 minutes and several attempts trying to secure a bolt driver. bolt repeatedly attempted to upsell the cost for a premium ride, instead of honouring the sales pitch of a discounted ride.. bolts 25% discount is a ****. This is worthy of reporting it here on HelloPeter and other social media!

Whereas Uber, charges the same price as bolt's discount rate and it took me 4 minutes to secure a driver to fetch me from my location. No guesses on who will be my preferred e-hailing organisation!

The customer service is even more pathetic. this is the response i received: I have reviewed the order you placed today and though none of the driver accepted them, I can confirm that none of them were under the premium categories. Rather they were under the Go Sedan and Go Hatch categories which were correctly estimated to cost R50 and R46 respectively after your discount.
