A Letter of Complain and Unfair Business Practice to the TPC (Taxi & Parts Spares) / (Gatueng Truck Parts Centre)

Greetings to the SANTACO/HELLO PETER members. It is with great sadness to be laying down a complain of Unfair business and the rudeness behaviour of the Business/Company mentioned above (TPC).

It was on the 9th of March 2020 when I (Matudu Ramoroka) decided to go purchase the engine valued at R30 000. The engine is for the Mercedes Benz Sprinter 220 CDI (651) .My intention for the purchase was that I was going to get a complete working engine. Although they have labelled it S**** Engine, before the purchase they reassured me that the engine might work, maybe it's just cranking because due to shortage of small components or parts.

Note that I am from Polokwane, Limpopo and the company/business is located in Boksburg, Kempton Park, Gatueng Province. So I had to come back from Polokwane because the engine was not working and it was not in a condition of working nor repairable.

On the 23rd March 2020 I had to go back to TPC all the way from Polokwane to take back the engine. The TPC business/company refused to take back the engine because on the Invoice it stated NO GUARANTEE "Due to its a S**** ENGINE" they stated. On that particular day they only offered me the engine injectors and said that they can't do anything about it, I will see what to do with the SCARP ENGINE. So this also states that their S**** ENGINE was incomplete when they gave me the Injectors.

Yesterday on the 25th of March 2020 I had to go to their business/company and plead to them to take back their engine even though it's a S**** ENGINE and yes NO GUARANTEE. The reason for my action is that the engine is not in a good condition. Both the Cylinder Head and the Block is broken so basically there is no engine. There are only Engine Components on them and for R30 000? That's a serious *******. On this day, I managed to invite my business partner Karabo Lekalakala and tried to negotiate with them to take back the engine.

Their Salesman Charll was the ruthless one because he did not want us to return the engine. He was addressing us with anger and did not even want to hear our side of the story. Luckily the Manager of the business was present at the conversion and clearly stated that we can't give us the engine back. He said that we must return the engine together with the R35 000 to purchase a new engine. Where will I get R35 000 where else I bought a S**** ENGINE that is not functioning and not repairable for R30 000?

The Manager managed to feel sympathy for us and offered to give us 50% of our money that we use to buy the S**** ENGINE (R15 000) and we brought the engine back.

Our main problem that we are facing is that we have lost our R15 000 to TPC for something that was not working and in a proper good repairable condition. According to a good business practice, we should have gotten our full money back because we have returned the engine within 30 days of their guarantee as stated on their invoice. Engines like the one we bought should not even be in their business going for sale because they are not repairable. And for selling something that is not working for R30 000, that's a total *******.
