Vehicle damaged at Tavcor Suzuki Service Centre
My vehicle was taken in for service at 8am on 10 October 2023. I picked up my vehicle before 07h30 on the 11th of October 2023 as the service centre only picked up at 15h04 on 10 October 2023 that my brake pads needed replacing, this was 6 hours+ after the vehicle had been dropped off and my service cost when up from R2,800 to just under R5,500. When I picked up my vehicle I noted that there was a dent on the front driver's door, the service centre manager initially insisted that the dent was there and it was noted on the job card. However when I was shown the job card after waiting for a while for them to get the technician that worked on the vehicle and then they never got him but instead I was shown a job card. The job card had two discrepencies, firstly the tickmarks on the door did not match the tickmarks as on the rest of the vehicle, as if it was quickly ticked while I was waiting, secondly the remarks on the job card only noted the mirrors and the wheel caps there was no mention of the door on the remarks as if the person that ticked the door forgot to include it on the remarks as well. I was not given a copy of the job card nor was I given an opportunity to take a picture for myself. The manager refused to review the footage in my presence, and it was only after I showed them tracker proof that my vehicle left the dealership and stopped at a bottle store just before 17h30 that the manager offered to fix the vehicle. However at the time of this review I had not received any communication of when the dent would be fixed, instead I received a call from the manager just before 10am telling me that he was reviewing the footage, the very same footage that they refused to review on my presence. I will be pursuing this matter further until my vehicle is fixed as this is unacceptable!
