So much for Good Service

The vehicle was on 29000km and I am financed by . I then started a cover with First for women.</div> <div class="quoted-text" style="color: purple;"> <div> </div> <div>On the 29 April 2016 while driving home I noticed the ABS light was on and then 'battery not charging' light came on then the radio stopped playing, seconds later the lights went off and the ignition switched off. The vehicle wouldn't start for over 30 min, I tried calling my insurance (FFW) but couldn't get through but eventually the car started and everything was fine.</div> <div> </div> </div> <div>On Monday (07/03/2016) I took my car to Tavcor VW in Moffet on Main Port Elizabeth ***) and was assisted by Janine Rockman who booked my car to be checked by a technician on site. I was then called to pick it up and was informed that "there was no fault found" instead they replaced a part called Camshaft adjuster and Rotary knobs" which where covered by the warranty.</div> <div class="quoted-text" style="color: purple;"> <div> </div> <div>On the 10th of March 2016 at 07:45 while driving to school with my children, I stopped at the traffic lights and noticed that there was smoke coming from my car so I pulled over. I struggled to open the bonnet, I was helped by a taxi driver who opened and saw that there were flames on the engine. He used a fire extinguisher to put off the flames. I called First for women and informed them and they sent a tow truck and they towed the vehicle and advised me to go to the police station and get an AB no which I sent to them and they said I would receive feedback in 5 working day.</div> <div> </div> <div>On the same day i went back to VW Tavcor and told Jenine what happened, she told me that her managers were all on meetings and she made copies of the breakdown service and told me that they will alias with the insurance and get the assessment report and also conduct their own assessment. It's been now 3 months and i haven't heard a word from VW. I still do not have a car and i am using public transport with my 2kids to school and work yet every month a debit order goes off from my account. When i didn't get any feedback from the insurance i went back to VW to found out if indeed they were aliasing with the insurance to my surprise nothing was done, nothing at all. </div> <div> </div> <div>I am extremely disappointing with the level of service that i have received from VW especially from a huge company like this. What is even more shocking is the fact that i was told to come and collect my car there was nothing wrong with it and boom 2 days later it was burning. And now VW is not taking any responsibility for anything. </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div>
