Never take ur car to Tavcor

<p>I have a 2011 Golf 6 R took it to Vw tavcor in william moffet for major service on 49000km when to fetch once it was done around 5 the afternoon. The car was bumped at the back no1 told me about it. I had to ask them what happened to it. They took pictures and agreed to hav it fixed. I left with the car never get to my house the car cut out. Called Destin at tavcor they arraged to hav the car towed and then the gessing game started they never hav a clue whats wrong for 2weeks they replaced plugs wires computer box ect..they had a nerve to ask me if i done any soft where upgrade to the car. I said to them if i did your computer will pick it up. After that they contacted vw sa to help but still could not find the problem the 3rd week they contacted Vw Germny they then called me in to say they found the problem. Got there they showed me the speed Gear broke and they blamed it on a previous accident the car was in. I said to them you know the car was 100% befor it came in to use for its service after one of ur guys bumped the car and service it now this happens. They refused to take the blame for the speed gear breaking. I saw i am not getting anywher so just agreed to pay so my car can get done. I just wanted my car fixed asap. They put motor together and then phoned me to say u can fetch your car its all done. I got to the dealership Destin say oh sorry we could hear a slight noise from your motor so we decided to strip it again few days later they called to say i must come true. I got there and showed me my number 2 conrod is bent. I said you know what how the hell a perfect running car that came in to your dealership for a service has a broken speed gear and now a bent conrod. Once a gain they give the famous answer we really dont know and when i suggested we go 50 50 on the cost since the car was 100% befor. Dealer principle said strait out NO they wont. I must pay The Bill of R47k. I agreed again just to get my car done. Destin said they can get a set of 4 conrods from one branch in jhb and thats the only set available in the country.i said pls book it so i can get my back. 2weeks later car is all done. Got there he give me the invoice say they got two quotes from Vw approved body repairs centers who came out to quote on the vehicle as i requested while the motor is beeing fixed. Auto Trust is R9000. and Dennis Edwards is R11000. So we agreed in the previous meeting with the dealer principle present i will fix the car at my cost but they must of set the amount for the body repair against my motor which the dealer princpile said no problem thats fine. I went true the invoice for my motor repair and i saw they charging me R12700 for the 4 conrods which was replaced. I asked Destin did use replace 4 conrods he said yes as it only come in a set of 4. I said to him we hav a problem because the mercanic who worked on my car from use said he only replaced 1. He said thats not possable he then phoned the parts manager who said no way we supp**** 4 conrods. We then walked to the mercanic who said he only got 1 conrod and 200% sure he only fitted 1 new conrod. I felt i cant trust them i took the car for a quote at the same body repair centers which Auto Trust said they alredy quoted on this car and they will be contacting Destin to retract there quote as from the pictures he sent to them they could not see the car was worked on so the only way for them to do the job is they will hav to replace the Rear Fender. I left and went to Dennis Edwards and asked for a quote the guy said the same thing we will have to replace the the Rear fender. The quote from Dennis edwards i recieved was R26000. Went back to Destin with my concern of the 4 conrods that was to be replaced and only one beeing done nd being charged for 4. And now the repair to my body which the quotes dnt add up as use got a quote from Auto Trust which is not valid anymore and Dennis Edwards quote i got from them is alomost 3time more then the one you gave me. He said he will get back to me. After 4days he he calls and say i must come true. I got there he said they found out there was only one conrod replaced will re invoice me for the 1 conrod and they will be sending my car to dennis edwards to be fixed. I said i am sorry we agreed for me to fix the damage to the car and use ofset the amount to my motor repair he said nope they not intrested and thats final. I said you know what its fine i paid for the repair for the motor and i will take my car away i we will sort this out the leagal route as i can see use can not be trusted. HOW I WISH I COULD HAVE NEVER TAKEN MY CAR FOR THAT 49000KM SERVICE TO THEM. I WILL NEVER BUY OR DO ANY DEALING WITH...VW TAVCOR AGAIN. I am seeking leagal advice on laying charges of ***** agaist this dealership.</p>
