Aftermarket(?) windscreen fitted on new VW Jetta?

In January 2014 my wife took delivery of her new VW Jetta. In April 2016 we learned that the Jetta was sold to her with (what I consider) an aftermarket FUYAO windscreen and not a VW Original Equipment windscreen as expected. <br> <br> This was not disclosed by Tavcor George, and only incidentally discovered when Glasfit pointed that out to us in 2016 when they replace the windscreen.<br> <br> My understanding is that a 100% OE VW Windscreen for a 2014 Jetta will have the VW logo on it , not an FY logo.<br> <br> My complaint to Tavcor led to an attorneys letter stating that the FUYAO windscreen (even though it does not bear a VW logo) was indeed VW Original Equipment, that I am uninformed about what is and what isn't VW Original Equipment and threatening to sue me for defamation.<br> <br> My advice to prospective new car buyers at Tavcor George - before you take delivery make dead certain that all parts of your 100% genuine VW is indeed 100% genuine - look for the VW logo!
