Taurus Pools

I responded to an add on Facebook from Taurus Pools – owner Keith Otto & Nicloe Otto

I was advised by him that a call-out fee of R200 applies of which I agreed upon and paid him the R200 and received the quote as follows:

I transferred 50% as a deposit and on completion I deposited the rest.

We trusted Mr Otto to be honest with us, but upon our own inspection we discovered the following:

• The pool started peeling • We have not been advised by Mr Otto that the shell was not ideal to be converted into a splash pool • Neither was the shell properly compacted • He picked up labourers along the road which to my knowledge was inexperienced and they worked unsupervised.

Upon discovering that the shell was not suitable enough for a splash pool, I asked Mr Otto to leave my premises as I felt he was not sure what he was doing. He contacted me an hour later to advise me that he’s able to build me a splash pool with bricks at no cost. He then sent me a wattsapp and told me to pay his bricklayer R450.00 of which I refused.He then requested another 3200.00 which i refused to give. I have mentioned to Mr Otto that I will be seeking legal advice to settle this matter in the small claims court-Hes RUDE,ARROGANT and DONT DELIVER,knows jack ****
