Ineffective Solar heating system
At the beginning of the year I had a solar system installed by Pretoria Solar Systems. The system however from the beginning proofed to be ineffective. The Plumber who installed the system, who had no knowledge of solar systems, installed the solar system and the electrical element wrong. On days when the ambient temperature was above 30 degrees the average temperature of the system was below 40 degrees. At a stage the pump also started leaking. When this was repaired the average temperature went up to plus minus 45 degrees. An electrician who also had no knowledge of the system was sent. He however after checking the system was not willing to fix the mess. Another person that knows the system was sent and after adjusting the system their was a small improvement. However during winter only one person can bath at a time. The temperature then sometimes fall as low as 27 degrees. The element then have to be switched on at a great loss of electricity. I could just as well have had an electrical switch installed at a fraction of the cost. I therefore want to warn any prospective buyers to be very careful of making use of Solar systems Pretoria.
