Bad waiter - affects staff, clients and business!

Today Tasha's at Canal Walk, Century City lost a customer. We have been a loyal customer for years, and have our old time favourite: Panko Hake with Pineapple juice. We never order anything different, and when it comes to fresh juices it is always Pineapple.

As always, we order the same old thing. A male waiter took our order. (They know who he is). A female waiter brought 2 x APPLE juices. She mentioned "that it is apple juices", and we very friendly explained that we ordered Pineapple juice and always order Pineapple juice, and that maybe the other waiter only heard the ....apple in pine-apple.... Nonetheless, she said it was fine and returned the juices. We would have been fine if it was just left there, as we were still our cheerful selves. But then, the first male waiter came to us and confronted us by telling us: "Mam, you did not order Pineapple juices, you order apple, it was apple!" Me and my husband obviously shocked disagreed as we know what we said, and NEVER EVER order apple juice ever!

Then after that, by the juice bar the looks and bickering continues. At that stage I honestly felt like getting up and walking out, as I was totally shocked that this waiter came and confronted us for getting our order wrong.

I called the manager and explained the situation to him, as I am sure he was not aware of it. He appologized and we sat and finished our meal. However, the right thing to do was actually to walk out! The manager did appologize for the waiters behaviour and that was the only reason that we stayed!

However, in the process we are scared that someone will put something in our food, because people will just do that nowadays, if they got reprimanded. Nobody should feel that they cannot complain, where there is a legitamate reason to do so. Best is to leave before the food comes, should you feel disrespected.

I have absolutely no trust that should I go back to the same Tasha's that my food will come back clean.

This will be our last time we ever go to Tashas as Canal walk. They will never see us again. And the manager knows who the waiter is. I hope the waiter gets dismissed, because it is extremely bad for business!
