Tarsus Quality Control - no response on this matter since 20 June 2024
Disappointed with Tarsus Quality Control
I purchased two Lenovo laptops from HiFi Corp on April 20, 2023. One of these laptops started having software issues in December 2023, despite being barely used and sitting on my child's desk. When I took it in for repairs under the extended warranty, I noticed a missing ***** and a loose component inside the laptop.
After raising the issue with HiFi Corp’s staff and management, they showed little interest in addressing the problem, implying I may have tampered with the device, which was absolutely not the case. I still requested the laptop be sent in for repair, hoping for clarity. Upon return, HiFi Corp provided no feedback. However, after calling the repair company, Partserve, I was informed that the loose component was indeed a missing hard drive *****, which had caused a fault and needed replacing (reference number JCR61242).
This experience has raised serious concerns about Tarsus' quality control. The laptop had a fault straight out of the box, and this makes me question the company’s overall quality assurance processes.
I’m deeply disappointed in the entire experience and will no longer be purchasing any products linked to Tarsus. I strongly advise others to reconsider before buying from them or their associated retailers.
