Targer Reality
Dear Hello Peter.
I have been renting a property since last year June from a private owner until he sold the property to someone else through Targer Realty. Now I have sent them my intention to terminate my lease with them on the 09th of November 2018 informing them that Im moving on the 1st of December and the lease has to be cancelled.
They told me aabout the Damage Deposit that has to be deducted and when I initially moved into the flat the previous owner didnt do an moving in assessment with me because he knew what was happening in the flat. When the sale was happening an argent sent by Targer came to the property and took a video of all the things that have been damaged and said everything is fine.
Now that I have moved and they did find a tenant they are charging me things that I dont even understand which I was not invoiced for by the body corporate of the property and they are telling me that I must also pay the commission lost of which it hasnt been lost technically since they managed to get a tenant before the 1st of December 2018 and they are simply charging a commission to myself and the new tenant which to me is being unfair.
Can I please be assisted in this matter.

For example, you claim that we charged you commission... Not true. The landlord has a right to claim the commission from you since he paid us to place you, but he has not had the benefit of your full lease contract. The law and the lease provide for him to claim his reasonable costs incurred by your cancellation- which he did. NOT US.
