Targa 12" 6500w sub factory defect
I bought a Targa 12" Baby street 6500w sub from a store in Roodepoort, the magnet fell off the cage or speaker of the sub. I contacted the store, gave the guy the sub to take back to Targa. Only to be told that they cannot repair or replace the sub as it has no warranty. I then called Targa spoke to Zahid he gave me a similar story. What I am not understanding is if the sub was damaged due to factory defect why am I held accountable for the damage. So the money I paid for the sub I must write off as a loss because Targa feels they are not accountable. Is this how the businesses in SA operate. ******* hardworking people because they can. I am looking for a way forward to have my sub replaced. I know this is a factory defect. If it was damaged due to me not using it properly, and the sub was still in one piece then that's on me, but now that the sub is in two pieces that's on the supplier. The 4 channel 12000w amp cannot damage the sub where the magnet fall off. I need a way forward.
