Totally dissatisfied

In 2020 we contacted Dixon of Taquera Log Cabins regarding the construction of a Log Cabin that we were interested in purchasing. He was very eager to help us and sent us a couple of quotes. We went and viewed a few projects that Taquera were busy with and they looked quite good so we decided to go ahead with our cabin. Dixon was very eager and work started on the construction. A couple of months after we moved into our cabin, we found that the plastic shower floor was cracked. We tried to get hold of Dixon but to no avail. He never answered his phone and when my partner tried to get hold of him it appeared that he had blocked her number. On further inspection we found that the floor of the shower had not been compacted hence it cracked. We replaced the shower floor as we could not use it the way it was as it would leak onto the wood floor. We had no reply from Dixon regarding this matter. In November 2020 we had a leak in the roof. On the 27 November 2020 I tried phoning Dixon but there was no answer and I could not leave a message so I sent him a WhatsApp message letting him know the problem. I did not get an answer from him so I sent him another message on the 28 November 2020. We never received an answer to that message. We then had the leak repaired at our expense. In November 2022, the ceiling started to droop in the open plan part of the kitchen. Once again we tried to get hold of Dixon as this was serious but there was no reply. December 2022 sees the ceiling collapse. On the 19 December 2022 I called Dixon to tell him that the ceiling had collapsed and to my amazement he answered the call. I told him the problem and he asked me to send pictures which I did. On the 20 December 2022 I sent a message "Do you have any comment for us" and the answer I got was "Still waiting for the pictures" I resent the pictures on the 21 December 2022. After not hearing from Dixon we got the hold of a roofing company to help our situation. The advise that we were given was to have the ceilings replaced and once they had stripped the ceilings we could see the some of the roof had collapsed. I sent some more pictures of the jacks that had to be used to lift the roof and the only answer I received was "No words" We sent a reply "Where do we take it from here?" We did not get a reply so on the 27 December 2022 I sent another message saying that I hadn't had a comment or answer. To that I got an answer "Thought you are on holiday did not want to disturb." Our answer to that was "Not on holiday, had to cancel. Come here tomorrow to see for yourself." The last message that we got from Dixon was "OK what's the cost involved" I sent him the amount with some more pictures but that is the last that we have heard from him. Our patio ceilings also had to be replaced and the whole house has had to be waterproofed. In ending I would definitely not use or recommend Taquera Log Cabins.
