Being taken for a ride

Tanya van Heerden is operating in the George / Glentana / Mosselbay area The company she quotes from is "Somerdou Garden and Home" She cleans paving / roofs / etc, and deforestation, when your property is over grown.

In May 2023, i received a notice from the Mosselbay Municipality the the property is over grown, and needs to be cleaned according to their guidelines I got a quote from her to cleanup the sea property . NOTE: She is not part of the list, recommended by the Mosselbay Municipality Being a much higher quote(R5600), than the listed contractors(R3800 and lower), she came down in price to R4000, which i accepted.

She presented "BEFORE" and "AFTER" photo's on completion of the work. My impression was that the work was not done to standard. I ordered the Municipality to inspect, and the result was that it was not cleaned to their guidelines. Various communication resulted in nothing going forward, accept to offer ANOTHER quote to clean the property. Why another quote, i asked, because i came down with my initial price, she responded. Thus, because she came down with the price, that was inline with the other contractors, the work was also done on a lower standard!!!

Some communication with other parties, the rumor goes that i am not the first unhappy customer.

I would not recommend her.

Instead of apologize, and go and fix, after being verified by the municipal inspector that the job was not according to the guidelines, an unprofessional attitude appears with swearing over the phone.
