This Salon shouldn't be called a TammyTaylor Salon!
DON'T RECOMMEND GETTING YOUR EYELASHES DONE HERE!!!
The prices are not standard TammyTaylor that's advertised on TammyTaylor website! This pathetic salon charges R940! The service I received was TERRIBLE!!
The owner refused to refund me as I was charged twice the amount! Even after paying R940, I still had glue on my eyelids and I did a tint and lift (there isn't supposed to be glue!), furthermore, the receptionist was extremely rude about the payment. The owner didn't offer to rectify the situation, all she said was she can't give me my money back even though the lift started fading from the 3rd day!!!
If you really want a TammyTaylor experience, go to the Dainfern branch or the one in Fourways! They're the real deal and know what customer service is!
Hi there,
Saturday
- I went for a consult in Dainfern Square TammyTaylor salon as this was the first time I'm doing my eyelashes
- I thoroughly enjoyed the consult and the lady was VERY helpful and insightful regarding the process and suggested what would best suit me as I reacted badly to the patch test and chatted about doing my nails and I booked the appointment for Sunday (the next day) for my lashes lift and tint.
- Unfortunately, miscommunication with my appointment so the lady at Dainfern tried to get me another appointment at another TammyTaylor salon which we did, so I went to the MARC TammyTaylor salon.
- I got my eyelashes done, during the process, you can even double check with Princess my eyes were burning and she often had to wipe my eyes.
- The appointment took more than an hour.
- When it was time to pay the frontdesk lady was rude and wasn't helpful.
- Firstly she made me wait, didn't notify me there was an issue with their iMac. She tried calling her boss but by the time she got a hold of her boss, the iMac was working. She then told me the price and I had asked her if she was sure and showed her the downloaded pdf on my phone of the TammyTaylor pricelist. The receptionist/ nailtech insisted that the price is R940 and then told me I need to phone the owner and gave me a loyalty card. I had asked her can we phone her now or when and she said whenever. So I just paid and left.
- I then tried phoning the owner within the same hour to query, I left 2/3 missed calls.
- Later that evening I got home and my boyfriend noticed my eyes had some kind of glue on my eyelids.
- Pictures attached.
- The owner Janelle Joshi called me this morning, I had explained everything to her, we continued the conversation on whatsapp chat, screenshots attached.
- Firstly, the owner had accepted me as a client and not told me about the price difference, as she was well aware that this was a last minute appointment - how was I supposed to know I need to download the MARC TammyTaylor Nails app to check their specific price? Why couldn't she have messaged me about it? I had assumed they were the same price. It's like going to any Sorbet and assuming the same prices as the website because there are different branches of Sorbet - their products and service should be standard throughout all Sorbet store similarly so should TammyTaylor salons, am I wrong in assuming that as a customer???
- Secondly if I'm going to pay R940 why do I still have unnecessary nonsense on my eyelid??? What kind of service is that???
- Thirdly, I got a second opinion from another TammyTaylor eyelash specialist (I'm not sure of the terms), after looking at the pics she thinks I need to go to a doctor if those sticky stuff doesn't come out because my eyes look a bit swollen and it looks like it's peeling (she thinks I might be having a reaction). The lady at the TammyTaylor salon in the MARC didn't do a patch test on me and the owner says that it's not necessary, furthermore, before the lady started with my lashes I had told her about Dainfern and how they did the patch test to see how I would react and so on and asked her if it was necessary here and she said no.
The Owner refuses to even give me a voucher or refund me so I redo my eyelashes at a different salon!
