Tea break more important than assisting birth
On the 18th of October 2014 I had a baby boy. I arrived at the hospital at 21:30 on friday the 17th October after my water broke. The doctor(male) that checked me out hurted me so bad. It felt like he had put his whole hand in me, they said I was 2cm open. My baby was on his way. They gave me a drip and took me to the pre labor ward. The father of my child was not allowed to be with me the whole time. The next morning they gave us a bucket to wash in. All the ladies had to use the same water. At 8:30am on 18 October I called the sister to say I need to have my baby now. So she told me she is going on tea break, when she's done she will take me to the ward where I can have my baby. So the end result was I had to catch my baby myself. The cleaning lady went to my husband with our new born son. No one was allowed in. Not even my mother in law. The nurces only attended to me once my baby started crying. They were rude and very ugly to me cause I couldn't keep my baby in till they were finished with their tea. The stitches they gave me came out about a week later, as thick as deep sea fishing gut. It was a terrible experience. If you want your baby to live. Its better you don't go there
