Medical Negligence

My 86 year old bedridden grandmother was admitted via the ER on Monday night. The dr on duty said the bed sore is a serious problem and needed to be surgically sc****d and antibiotics are needed. 2 days later and my gran is left on her own in an isolation room with no treatment to the wound what so ever!

We had to authorize blood to be administered on Tuesday morning. At 2pm when we arrived for visiting hours we saw the blood in a bag laying on a table outside her room. 2 hours passed when we had to leave and not 1 nurse came in to check up and the blood was still laying on the table. Who knows how long it was laying there in the heat before it was administered.

Today the Dr said she will continue to be treated for anemia but still no medication has been given for any treatment nor the septic bedsore. Not even a cream to apply. She is so weak she can’t move herself at all. Yet when we arrived she was awake and so hungry that she swallowed everything we put in her mouth.

She is so weak she can’t even lift her hands or drink from a cup. Who know if they are even changing her nappy.

That hospital will leave her to die! We need help.

This will be reported to the medical board for investigation. It is clear negligence from the Dr’s and nurses in ladies Ward 3
