Takkie Wash

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE!! I took in 2 pairs of shoes, did not receive any feedback that they were ready. After 2 weeks went into the store and found my shoe damaged!! The front desk lady tells me she thought it was Nubuck when at first I did advise it was suede which was not to be touched, so instead of contacting me to confirm to avoid damages.. SHE ASSUMED!. I paid for sole treatment and ended up having my suede being irreparably damaged. She advised she'll keep in contact with me and it's been a week since any feedback. After a week I was called and told they would try to compensate me for their negligence. Then I'm told they cannot compensate me and the reason the shoe had to be washed was because they spilled some chemical onto it and had to wash it. Very disappointing that they are so negligent and still refuse to compensate for their wrong doing. Their story keeps changing, first I was told it was a mistake and the lady at the umhlanga store did not know the type of material, and then I'm called and told that they spilled some chemical so it had to be washed. These people are refusing to compensate me for a shoe that costs over R2000 for negligence and incompetence on their end.
