My friends and I came across a Hop-on-hop-off party bus tour instagram post advertising that party bus services would be available every Wednesday at 17h30 from Stellenbosch to Cape Town. We then went to Pick n Pay and purchased the tickets via ********** However, the available tours presented to us at Pick n Pay were not on the days stipulated in the Instagram Post and we could only purchase tickets for Friday the 24th of March 2017 (18h30). We inquired about the time (18h30 versus 17h30) and we were told that this is all they had available - we then purchased the tickets.

On 24/03/17 we called @webtickets numerous times to confirm the pick-up point of the bus, as it was not mentioned on the ticket. @webtickets was unable to provide this information and told us that the event was hosted by @takeyouthere_sa and that should we have any questions, we should contact them ********** After a long and tedious search for @takeyouthere_sa's contact details, we eventually managed to get in touch with someone from the call centre (around 16h00). She (I don't remember her name) confirmed that the pick-up point was the Neelsie Student Centre. In terms of the time, at this point we prefered to trust the ticket instead of an Instagram post.

We arrived at the pick-up point at 18h06 and waited for the bus. After a few minutes, we looked around the Neelsie and we were the only three students who seemed to be waiting for this bus. At around 18h45, we decided to call ********** as they were also mentioned on the Instagram post and on the ticket, to find out what was going on. We spoke to a man named Prince ********** and inquired about the bus. He verified that they were indeed waiting for a bus, but as the event was not run by ********** he could not give us full details as to where the bus was and why it was late. We waited for about 2 hours at the Neelsie and during this time we were in contact with Prince. Prince had also managed to give us the cell number of someone who was on the bus and had more information - at this point we did not know exactly who we were calling. We eventually gave up and went home, as the person we were calling did not answer the phone nor get back to us.

The following day we contacted @takeyouthere_sa, asking if we could get a refund on our ticketes since the bus had not arrived. We were told (by Tinashe) that the bus had departed from Stellenbosch at 17h30 (to arrive at ********** at 18h00) and that 27 students from Stellenbosch boarded the bus. We were in disbelief, because our tickets ONLY said 18h30 and NOT (17h30 for 18h30). We also did not understand how all the other students knew about this pick-up time. Tinashe then told us to email the tickets and that we'd be able to get a refund (of R200 x 3) after doing this. Up until today (24/04/2017), Tinashe has not rep**** to our emails and is not picking up any of our phonecalls.

We are extremely disappointed in the lack of planning (in terms of ticket details) and in the fact that even before the event we struggled to get in touch with anybody from ********** As a paying customer, I think it is appalling that @takeyouthere_sa made **** consolations (i.e. refunding us) in order to make us stop contacting them to complain.

P.S. we would like our money back - we're students and the budget is tight!
