Please do not use "Take you there" they are ********** and did not pitch!!!

As it was my husbands 40th birthday I wanted to make it a special one. I did my homework and was prepared to pay extra because it was so important to me. I started this process in May this year already. I ended up with 3 companies that looked like they had what I wanted. One of these companies was "Take you there bus and party hire". I phoned all three these to talk to the owner. Kinasha from Take you there sold this to me. He made great suggestion on where the bus should stop and for how long. He really convinced me that they were by far the best.He also told me to pay the deposit to secure my booking as September was their busiest time because of matric farewells and year end parties. We payed the deposit for the 65 seater open top party bus with a built in bar, wifi music and a toilet.

I went to lengths to make this special. I booked platters for the bus we had about R10 000 worth of alcohol. We rented a barman and 2 waiters. Be bought big plastic wine glasses and special trays for the waiters to carry the drinks on. I ordered R2000 worth of platters for the bus. We then booked a venue section at Gilroys and ordered R6000 worth of food for the guest for when we arrived there. We booked at Beerhouse as well as the bus would have stopped there first. I had pamphlets printed with the bus rules and the program of where we would stop when with google maps of when and where for in case you missed the bus. I went all out!!

I arranged with Kinasha on the 28th of August that we would come to the depo on Tuesday the 4th to view the bus as I wanted to have a look at the space we had available for the drinks and I wanted to test the music. As my husband had to leave the office early and was running 10 min late I phoned Kinasha to just apologize that we were running 10 min late. Only at this point did he informed me that he forgot to let me know but the bus is still in Durban. He also at this point pressured us for the remaining 50% payment. We made the full payment and received our payment confirmation.

Kinasha then assured me that we could view the bus on Thursday. Thursday afternoon just before we left for the depo he informed me that because it was a long trip from Durban the bus could not leave without a technician on board and that they were still waiting for him. At this point we have left early at work twice. Kinasha then assured me that he will bring the bus round to our house at 3 the Friday afternoon. I then asked him again if everything is in order or whether I should be worried. He then again assured me that everything is 100% in order. He further told me that the bus needed to be at a matric farewell the Friday evening so there is no ways that the bus would be delayed for my party. Friday again both myself and my husband left work early to wait for the bus at our house. Obviously this bus never arrived. I phone Kinasha on his cellphone a 100 times, I phoned the office a 100 times in an attempt to find out what was going on but no answer. I then went onto their facebook page at which point I send a message in messenger to ask if anyone know whether this is a ********** company. Someone then rep**** to say that they are so sorry but that this is not a **** and that everything is perfectly fine for our party the next day and someone will phone me back the following morning. Obviously no one phoned me back the next morning. At this point I was becoming very worried but I was unable to book another bus or even on number 99.9 book and hire a venue as I was assured by take you there that everything was 100% in order and they were paid in full with a contract I had to sign about cancellation.

When we arrived at the pick up point there was an old run down 23 seater bus (I have a picture of this) for my 58 guests. The owner of this bus informed me that the were subcontracted by Kinashs to help out as they had a problem. According to this company Kinashs only advised them to send what ever they had.

This was not at all what I booked and signed for. I was stuck red faced and embarrassed in a parking lot with 58 people, waiters, bar man, a trailer full of alcohol and a lot of food platters and no where to go. I can not begin to tell you haw angry I was. Not just did you ruin my husbands birthday. They left me with no other plans. If at any point they informed me that there was a problem I could have tried to make a plan but up to the end they kept on telling me everything was in order that I should not worry and that the bus would definitely be there.

Since this day I am unable to get hold of Kinashs or get through on any of the contact details. They disappeared with the R10500. The website and facebook page is all still active. There is even a function they did this month. I have the depo address where I was supposed to go view the bus but we are to scared to go there on our own. We have send several emails to ask our money back but all to no avail. I have noticed that there are several people now on Hello peter complaining of the same thing.

They have also set up their website and their facebook page in such a way that you are unable to leave a comment so there is no way that I can warn other people. They can not get away with this.
