Dreadful dog grooming service & ****ty attitude

I took our dog in to be washed and groomed. She is a poodle cross, like a Schnauzer or miniature Bouvier and expected a cut and trim as she normally gets. Only and assistant was in this morning and I wrote down what was expected and said to 'please call me!!!' before any grooming was done.

I'm not a person that worries about a dog too much but my wife and some do, more than I and so I wanted what we normally get (and expect).

After phoning a few times to find out the progress, and why no one had phoned me, I get a confusing answer to say that 'we do not know which dog it is; we will phone back'. I get a return call from someone to say... 'the dog is ready; come and collect it'.

I arrive to collect our dog and between some discussion between the two, telling me 'what dog it is: it's a Schnauzer,', I am told, and out comes our dog, shorn to not look like any Schnauzer or anything resembling a good cut and steps cut in the longer leg hair on the legs. The dog looked embarrassed and I was horrified.

I get some excuse about someone being off sick at the doctor and that this 'is a good cut!!!' buy this now, arrogant guy, behind the counter.

No one bothered to phone about the cut and had I known, I would have preferred that the dog was not groomed. An argument about good service and a proper dog grooming cut ensued, the arrogant **** telling me it was a great cut because it was smooth all over, forget that the dog was now totally shapeless.

Someone stuffed up and they refused to take the blame or accountability or even be apologetic about it. So I refused to pay.

Then I was told, on walking out, how useless I was because of the car (not my own) I was driving (I paraphrase here).
