Horrible Customer Service and Workmanship

Worst tailors ever. I handed in my wedding dress to be altered on the 10 September 2016 and received it back on the 29 october 2016 still not completed. My wedding is on the 05th which is in a few days. When I went to collect my dress Saturday after arranging the pick up they were still seweing it and asked that I return an hour later. On my return they were still ironing my dress. When she handed me the dress she said that tehre is no use for the fitting and off course other people were using the dressing room and seeing as they only had to stitch one part to the dress we assumed it would be fine. I asked about a section that clearly wasnt stitched in the front and they said no worries lets iron it in after we discussed two weeks prior at my fitting that we would like it taken in and stitched. I left feeling a bit uneasy. Sunday we fitted the dress and none of the losse threds were tidied up and the dress wasnt even sown on the inside where they added material. What a disaster as we had to make a quick plan and dyi the dress as we could not return it due to the fact that its a week before the wedding. Now when I calledthem and sent them the photo of what it looked like they could not care less and all they say is bring it back and we will fix it so I asked how long it will take response was as long as it does. How is that exceptable? I wil never ever use that company again. No compassion for their Clients and no customer service at all.

Good Day Horrible Customer Service and Workmanship

Thank you for your review, although not absolutely true to point. Tailor Cape Town did indeed alter your wedding dress to your request as is written on our invoice. You requested Tailor Cape Town insert a panel on the side of your dress over the hip area to ensure a better fit. This is exactly what was done. When you collected your dress the fitting room was occupied, with customers waiting to use it next. You decided you did not want to wait on them to fit your dress. The section clearly not stitched on the front of the dress was from the previous manufacturer of your dress, the staff informed you we could not work on this area, they merely ironed the pleats flat for you. Tailor Cape Town takes full responsibility for not stitching up the 10cm loose seam on the inside where we worked, this was indeed bad service and I apologise to you for this. We did however immediately offer to stitch it closed for you when discussed on the phone, we would have done this for you while you were in the shop. The photos you sent were of sections of the dress of which were worked on by the previous manufacturer. Tailor Cape Town was not requested to work on any of those areas on the dress. We inserted the piece on the hip and shortened the straps for you. Both of which were perfectly executed with your dress fitting you like a glove. The loose threads you mention all over the dress are from the previous manufacturer of the dress. We understand that brides are under a lot of pressure and stress before their wedding, we alter many, many dresses for Wedding Boutiques throughout Cape Town and always do our best to get the result for the bride.
