Faulty Mattress
I'm looking for advice. 7 months Ago I bought a very expensive bed from Tafelberg Furnishers. I went in, asked the sales representative I want the best bed you have for my back. The sales person advised me to go for this bed as well as take a base with it for my warranty. I did. I went according to his recommendation. For the past few weeks my body has been hurting alot. Worse and worse. My neck is stiff, my back is stiff. some mornings I can barely move my head so bad the pain is. I decided to check the mattress. Remove the sheets and this is what I found. See the pic. The mattress looks like it's collapsing. There are big lumps in it. Yes, I rotate the mattress. I reported it to Tafelberg Furnishers and they said they reported it to their supplier Cloud - 9 Cloud-9 at first ignored the complaint. Then the representative was available but would phone me Wednesday last week, he didn't, he would phone me Thursday last week, he didn't. So Friday I got hold of him and he came to inspect. Not not looking happy because I complained in order to get him to come out He was not very nice and had a rude smurck on his face like "I don't want to be here" He then tell me he needs to "take a leak" then he left my house. No explanation or information about the mattress nothing. He just walked out. This morning they send me an email saying my claim has been rejected. Can someone tell me that has bought a bed from Tafelberg Furnishers is this how a new mattress is supposed to look? What do I do? Complaint ***

Bought a pellet smoker from them promises of fast delivery but since i made the payment I've had to drag information regarding my order and delivery dates out of them. Once you pay them you will receive no service

Shocking installation of dish washer
The purchase was straight forward online and the communication about delivery was good. The guys that came to deliver and install the dish washer did a lousy job. They didn't connect the inlet water hose correctly, in fact they cross threaded the fitting. When I turned the water back on water sprayed all over the place. They didn't attach the outlet from the dish washer either. A shocking job. I called to complain and the guy said they would send them back the next day but if these guys didn't know what they were doing the first time round how would they manage a second time. I called a plumber to come in and sort it out.

Tafelberg Furnishets poor service
Very quick to close the deal but very slow to deliver. Paid for a stove on the Sunday, promised delivery on the Monday, latest Tuesday. I had to follow up whenTuesday arrived with no stove only to be told it will arrive at the store on Wednesday after 15h30 so I can only collect on Thursday. Very poor service, Im not encouraged to make use of them again.

Tafelberg Furnishers - Tableview - well worth the shopping experience
Tableview branch: Wonderfully helpful staff. Been in there a couple of times in the last few weeks - nothing but praise. From the wonderfully clean loo (it is a thing for us senior ladies) to knowledgeable staff. Full marks.

Tafelberg Meubels - Worst experience.
I bought all my furniture, for my new flat, at Tafelberg Meubels, Bellville. One of the items bought was my new kettle, which was on special, but after checking the prices, the special price was not charged. I opened the kettle last night and used it. This morning when I switched it on the power tripped and we found it was the kettle. I switched power back on but the kettle would not boil the water. So I took it back to them this morning where I was told take to there service delivery. Service delivery is approximately 200 metres from the retail department which was a bit concerning to me as it was during our Cape Town storm. At the service delivery gate you have to ring a bell for someone to open the gates. I stood in the rain for at least 10 minutes and nobody opened the gate. I went back to the retail department and asked if on can get better service and Lee, the person that sent me there, offered to take it himself. He returned and told me service delivery will phone me. After 45 minutes I asked a lady when will they phone she answered that it could take 7 to 14 days. If anybody out there is willing to wait two weeks before they can make a cup of coffee you are welcome to buy your furniture from these people. Please also make sure the special price is awarded. The after sales experience was so bad I will never buy anything from these people. I left and bought a new kettle from another retailer. Tafelberg meubels you just lost a very good customer and if you check your database you will realis this.
