Poor Understanding of Problem and Resolution

On the 03rd April 2017, I visited the Table Mountain Cafe.

I chose the buffet option, whereby at the end of the selection the food is weighed to determine the cost.

When my selection was completed, I proceeded to have the Food weighed, the amount was R75, however the scale had run out of labels and I was directed to the Cashier who had a Scale as well.

When the food was weighed at the Cashier, the amount was R98.

I then questioned the Cashier on the difference, and his response was that they are 2 different scales,

I then reminded him that the weights was still constant and he should check this pricing.

He was adamant that the Scales were not the same, hence the difference in price.

I then called for the Manager and had to go through the same explanation with her as her reasoning was the same.

I then insisted that we return to the previous scale and weigh the food again. This was done, and the amount was R75.

The Manager was "astounded"

This Cafe attracts Foreign Visitors, what a reflection of our Incompetence
