Went at 8.30 on Saturday 24.07.2021 for travel PCR test at Table Bat Medical drive through in Claremont and paid R1250.00 for "fast result" test. On invoice says 6 hours. MY mistake I gave them my Bots contact number and not an SA number so they could not get hold of me. The invoice says 6 hours and I would receive an sms - NO sms received!!!! I then went to the lab which was doing the test for result and was told would only be ready the next day or maybe after 6.30pm I could collect the hard copy. I need this as when travelling they not interested in a soft copy. Called and Gareth tried to explain away why I was charged for fast test and it was not their mistake but the labs. DON'T write on your invoice 6 hour result and then blame the lab. I could've gone directly to the lab and paid R850.00 and got at 6.30 - the same time and I got my result from Table Bay Medical. I believe they recommend the "fast" result to get the extra R400.00 and then blame the lab. Lesson learnt - will NEVER use them again and will never recommend them to anyone. When at the lab collecting my result was told this is not the first incident that the lab has to answer for Table Bay Medical ripping people off.......
