Shadibay Port Elizabeth

This is a real review and not from the owners family (surname Trow) and friends.

T and T Shadibay have just installed a carport to the value of R36 400 on my property. I have found both the quality and the service lacking.

As I wanted the carport to last, I went for the more expensive galvanised option. After the galvanising, they then used angle grinders and drilled about 60 holes in the structure. They had no concern about preventing rust, I provided them with Tectyl.

Many of the poles are skew, some out more than 50mm over 2 000mm.

There is a gap of about 200mm between the roof and side structure. I did not want this gap as I did not want the rain to come through. We discussed this and I was told to leave it to them, it would be resolved. The structure has been installed with the 200mm gap with no plan to resolve.

Ignore their 2 to 4 week lead time after payment as well as their proposed site days.

I normally tackle most things around the house myself but due to my business travel and time constraints, I decided to get someone to assist. This experience has been stressful with a dismal end result.
