Devastated worker
I'm one of the agents that were working in that business. I was hired by Synergy because @hollandandbarrett last year in September needed agents but early this year I was chosen with some of the guys because we are bout to be downsized, so they took us out and placed us in a company called EDF which is an energy company, the following day they removed us from that company because we didn't have any energy experience meanwhile they are a lot of people who where taken from @hollandandbarrett and they didn't have any experience with energy. Fast forward 2 ladies called Tegan and Nicole from the recruitment center said there is a company which is called O2, they will place us there for a week, but since it is a sales campaign and it is something we have never done before. We do have a right to come back and let them know that we can't handle the daily operations because are internals, and they genuinely said they will find another campaign for us. Now we are stuck in O2 and they don't seem to care bout what they promised us. They sent us to HR nobody cared to find out a solution for this issue. This has been going in for 4 weeks, I'm so utterly drained by how Operations Managers, Managers, Recruiters, and the HR department treat people who are agents in a contact center environment especially when you are black. The sad part is I have no family support because my mom passed away in 2003 and my dad passed away in 2018. So when I am at work my colleagues are my family but if you are a black child in SA at work you feel as if you are adopted and you can be thrown out the door any day of the week. I have no plan from now onwards but my wish is please find a way to that company and do what's right.
