Swiss Air - Star Alliance *******

We were booked to fly on Swiss Air to Geneva on 24 February 2024. On Friday 23rd at 14h30 they let us know that the flight was cancelled!! I contacted the call centre in Cape Town and their lady confirmed that the flight was cancelled and there were no other options on Swiss Air until Sunday 25 th . I asked her if we found alternative arrangements what the procedure would be and she said we should go on holiday and apply for compensation when we return. We have been trying to get our money reimbursed for a month now and have had our application turned down three times. Each time the consultant - in Switzerland - provides a different reason for the flight being cancelled and they refuse to do the honorable thing and pay us back for our alternative flight we booked. Dealing with Swiss Air is a disaster as they have no offices in South Africa where you can go and see a HUMAN and the when you call the Cape Town call centre they refer you to a number in United States of America and one time they gave me the number for Luftansa!!! I urge all South Africans to not consider Swiss Air as an International carrier as they are ********* and a nightmare to deal with...
