Bad workmanship and attention to detail.

I really tried hard to ignore the shoddy workmanship because this bag was gifted to me, and I had already experienced poor service on another order. But it has become too difficult to overlook the fact that, considering the cost of this bag, it is ageing this badly after only one year despite meticulous care. Fortunately, I have found another leather bag company that has agreed to repair all of these issues, although naturally at an additional cost to me. There was no point in reaching out to the owner again, as I previously struggled with very poor service when I raised concerns about bad workmanship and construction on another bag. At the time, I was told another customer would be very happy with what they received, and it was imp**** that I was simply being picky. Eventually, a refund was agreed to because it became clear the issues were genuinely unacceptable. I now own bags from another leather company in a similar price range, and the difference is remarkable, with exceptional attention to detail, neat finishing, and proper craftsmanship. Some of the issues visible on this bag include: Unsealed/raw edges fraying and roughening prematurely Uneven edge finishing and no proper burnishing Glue residue visible along joins Misaligned and inconsistent stitching in places Loose and untidy thread ends Corners separating and lifting Strap edges wearing excessively Leather layers gaping/opening on seams Poor finishing around folded sections General premature wear inconsistent with one year of careful use For a leather bag at this price point, these are basic quality-control issues that should not be present. It's a pity I could not add the pictures!
