UNPROFESSIONAL PASSING THE BUCK

I reside in Port Elizabeth with severe water restricting due to the drought. I furthermore struggled to get/buy water (Greg ********** 437) , being promised again and again since the beginning of December but with no delivery. Consequently my pool water level dropped so low that it potentially became damaging to both the pool structure as well as pump system. To complicate matters we started renovations on the exterior walls and roof, which lead to a lot of debris falling in the pool. On Friday 26.01.2018 Swimline came as per usual, checked the water balance, pump basket, raked the leave, did a scrub and check the back2filter (see attached documentation). However when I got home the afternoon, the pool was dirty (which I knew could not be fixed due to the low water level and water restrictions), but what annoyed me was the plastic bag in the pool, which was there the morning when I left! I took a photo and reported the bad service to Swimline. My point being, if the pool was raked how is it possible that the plastic bag was not removed? I subsequently got the number of Juan ********** 831 who filled my pool on Wednesday the 31.01.2018. On Friday the 02.02.2018 when I got home in the afternoon, my gardener came out and told me he had to switch the pool off as water was gushing out and upon inspection the water level dropped to the same low level it was prior to the filling up 2 days ago! In the job description it is stated that the pool was back washed! I was beyond myself! I phoned and demanded that Swimline pay for the lost water as I could not conceive that a professional pool cleaner will in a drought stricken area, with the water restrictions, and knowing from servicing the pool weekly how I struggled to get the water, leave the premises with water gushing out from the back wash. And doing while the renovations was far from completed, meaning that more debris may fall in the pool! Chervonne's (the owner) final response was " we damned if we don't (meaning getting into trouble for not picking up plastic bags) and damned if you do (meaning that backwashing and leaving the water gushing out was OK!) and unilaterally terminated our service contract.

I had no expectation that the pool was to be sparkling clean given the drought and the debris due to the building alternations, and defninately not to be considered before the renovations were completed.

I would have thought that Swimline before backwashing could just have picked up the phone and asked me what I wanted them to do. It is beyong me that this is not the natural first response given the drought, the fact that the renovations is still ongoing and knwoing that I struggeld to get the pool filled!
