Taken my Money and Disappeared

<p>I have supported this small business for more than 5 years. Swift Cooling installs and maintains airconditioners. They are based in Milnerton, Cape Town.</p> <p>I needed to replace an entire aircon unit and was asked to pay upfront for both the unit and the labour (a lump sum). The amount was just shy of R30,000! That was in April. After numerous cancelled installation dates (due to ilness and dentist appointments and other excuses) In June I eventually said that I was cancelling the order and requested a refund. Now I do not get my calls answered or emails responded to. I handed it over to a lawyer and the owner of the business is now avoiding his calls too. My lawyer says that I have very little recourse other than to lay charges with SAPS.</p> <p> </p> <p>Avoid this business at all costs. So disappointing after being a loyal supporter for many years</p>
