In September 2021 I bought a home via Swell Homes agent Deon v Staden. I made it clear to him that noise nuisance was the one factor that would affect my buying negatively as I work from home more often than I am in the office. He assured me that the area was quiet and neighbors were "nice" and I was informed of what the neigbhours do for a living with no context provided. From the day I moved in there was loud industrial noises coming from the neigbhour, these were due to the car repair works being conducted from his home, which I was informed of but the noise levels produced was grossly and deliberately under exxpegerated, and since this was my only concern all along this should have been mentioned clearly and honestly. Ontop of which his large german shepherd barks all day adding to the noise levels which was never mentioned. After some months of being in the house I was informed that the reason the previous owners sold is due to the noise and that Darius was aware. I have lived with this noise through my pregnancy and I now have a small baby who struggles with sleep patterns as a result. Darius refused to take accountability and instead of helping, he dug me further into a grave by advising that I inform Law Enforcement who have done nothing to assist and instead have caused animosity with the neigbhour by lying and manipulating the situation. The previous owners Glenda and Clint McMinn have left me with a rotten, loud, inconsiderate neigbhour which they could not live with but failed to mention any of this to me even after I made it clear noise was a large factor for me. I am now in a situation where I have to sell after a year of being in the house which will be at a loss. DO NOT buy from SWELL HOMES, they just make a sale and don't care about the position they place you in. I would not do any kind of business with the previous owners either, as they are dishonest people.
