Customer out of pocket by R1000

On 22 December 2015, I purchased a gift voucher to the value of R1000 from Sweat Shop, Dunkeld, which came highly recommended. Sometime during Christmas Day 2015, the voucher was mislaid in my house and has never come to light. There is also a strong possibility that our domestic worker may have thrown it away while we were on holiday.<br> On 9 January 2016 I returned to the Sweat Shop to explain the situation and spoke with the owner, Mr Jax Snyman. Once he had heard my story, Mr Snyman became extremely unhelpful and refused to assist me any further, stating that the \system"could not cancel the voucher and re-issue it"
