R40000 + AND STILL NO COC!!!! NOT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN!

Please be careful of allowing this company to do any electrical work in your home; and if they do then DO NOT PAY THE FINAL AMOUNT UNTIL EVERYTHING HAS BEEN COMPLETED. We contract this father and son team to redo the wiring in our home and upgrade circuit boards etc so that we could get a valid COC which in turn would allow us to get the municipality to remove our 3 phase electricity (which is costing almost R2000 extra p/m). Everything seemed fine until the father went in for an operation leaving his son to continue with the work. Workers were simply dropped off and left to do the electrical work with no supervision; when the work was supposedly completed the father (who was ill and could hardly walk) came to "inspect the work" as he is the only qualified electrician (the son and workers are not qualified) in order to sign the COC. Full payment in the region of R40 000 + had already been given. The COC was never furnished; then there were issues with wall sockets (the top brand apparently) pulling out of the walls when a plug was pulled out; an eletrical smell with a newly installed light fitting; a flickering light fitting that started tripping the electricity when switched on and the list goes on. We repeatedly contacted the son Braten who simply ignored the issues or made false promises of coming to sort out the problems. Eventually, after losing our patience we called another electrician to come and assist and issue us with the much needed COC; which Braten agreed he would pay; however, when the bill of R2500 (aprox) was sent to him he refused and to date has not furnished us with the COC of even attempted to rectify the problem. What disguusts me is the fact that my 63yr old mother was having to deal with this issue and was being treated with absolute disrespect/no care attitude from this youngster; which is why I stepped in but even then Braten's arrogance towards completing a job he was paid in full to do is dumbfounding! A note here his dad Willie is an absolute perfectionist who had he not been illl would have exceeded our expectation but unfortunately his son does not work or care about any standards. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF WILLIE IS NOT FRONT AND CENTRE DOING THE WORK HIMSELF.
